Did you know?
• 73% of Executives find jobs through Social Networks.
• Twitter was rated the #3 Social Networking site by Bloomberg
• Twitter has grown from 500,000 to over 19 million users in the last 9 months.
What does that tell us in the recruiting industry? Twitter is one of the hottest places to be.
Hundreds of recruiters learned about Twitter last month in a Level I class that the Recruiter Training Center sponsored, and have been waiting for this next training. So here it is...
Twitter for Recruiters Level II, Wednesday, August 19th at 1 PM EDT with Social Media Guru, Irina Shamaeva, Principal of Brain Gain Recruiting. You'll learn in this accredited class:
• How Twitter is different from other Social Networks
• How-To Search Techniques
• Searching for candidates on Twitter
• Advanced tweets search
• Advanced Profile search
• Searching Twitter from Google
• Collecting IDs from a Google search
• Examples
• Find out more about a list of IDs in one click
• How-To Follow Techniques
• Follow multiple people at once
• Balance your followers/following list
• Jump-start your project on Twitter
• Using multiple accounts
• Filtering the tweets you read
• Resources
After this advanced training, recruiters will have the confidence to start using Twitter immediately and effectively to place more candidates and get more job orders. But FYI, this class is for ANYONE who wants to recruit using Twitter. (Level 1 training is not a prerequisite.)
Twitter classes are normally $100 +/- per attendee. Thanks to the RTC sponsorship, the cost of this class has been reduced to $14.99, (or $0 for Recruiter Library Card holders.)

Thanks for the post! Sorry I read it too late to share with all my customers - SmartSearch ATS recently added the ability to push job announcements to twitter, and it's great to see so many recruiters taking advantage of this new medium.
I'm a late adopter of twitter - but have already found it helpful in making new recruiting business connections.

Hi Sylvia,
Thank you for your comment and your post. That's good news about SmartSearch. Twitter is quickly becoming a powerful recruiting tool - with the right training. The event we had yesterday was a stunning success and you can get the on-demand playback here: http://www.recruitertrainingcenter.com/index.php?eid=42. I'd encourage you to share it with your customers; the reviews we received were remarkable.
We had a few hundred recruiters from some large corporations and staffing companies, as well as small to mid-sized enterprises & independents. We also had a few dozen questions at the end of the hour training session and that's all on the recording as well.
Best,
Amy

Twitter is a great tool for many types of businesses. It not only reaches a wide variety of people, but can make your company seem more down to earth and personable. Interacting with consumers is personal and shows that you make time for them. Twitter also is FREE and can really help small businesses get their name out there without all the expensive advertisements. I completely agree with Amy's post here, if you are not on Twitter yet, now is the time!
In such a technological age like today everything is about networking and its no wonder sites such as Facebook and Twitter are such a huge success. From building a business from the ground, getting word out, looking for a job or employers- these sites can really help get the job done.

Hi Michelle,
Thank you for your comments, coaching and encouragement. Twitter can be a confusing tool at first glance... People can wonder how to make sense of all this chatter / tweets. But with some good training it all starts to become clear. I highly encourage folks to sign up. $15 is very reasonable too... Trainings like this are normally 5 to 7 times that cost.
Best,
Amy
