Temporary Contract

Hello,

I am a permanent placement recruiter with an opportunity to place someone on six month contract with a client.  Admittedly I don't have any experience in this area.  Would anyone please be willing to share advice/suggestions on how to move forward in terms of a contract?  I appreciate any help.

On site Coordinator Agreement - need help

I am looking for help... We have a client who wants us to bid for an on-site coordinator of our team. We have not had our HR reps on site before, we just staff our clients from our office. I know Kelly and Manpower are big at doing on site coordinators... Do any of you do on-site coordinators? If so can you share you agreement? Do you charge a standard mark up of your temps and charge them for having somone on site, or do you just absorb the cost of your rep on site??

Any help would be appreciated. send to susand@gvstaffing.com

Healthcare Staffing Partnership

Our agency is expanding! We specializes predominately in the Pharmacy Temp & Perm area of Healthcare Staffing. We're open to discussions with successful individuals in select market to handle some our regional and national contracts in their local markets.

Prefer knowledge in Healthcare Staffing from such disciplines as Nursing, Allied, Physician, etc. This could subsidize your earning potential.

Please send email in confidence to rsteeber@pharmacyreserves.com

Number of Billable Hours Per Recruiter

Hello!

Was wondering if you use a number of hours ratio to staff person formula to determine the proper staffing of your office.

For example: 3 people can handle 1500 billable hours per week

4 people can handle 2500 billable hours per week

etc.

I know it depends sometimes on the type of work that you are doing - but just want to get an idea of the models people were using.

Thanks!

Contractor Conversions

I have a client who would like to hire one of my consultants who has been working for them for the past 7 months. He has a high bill rate, although the markup is now less than $20 since I have already granted their request to reduce the bill rate. But he is not ready to accept a full-time job with them at this time, however they have asked if they can work directly with him (pay directly) in the meantime until he is ready to come on board. I do have a 6 month no fee FTE conversion clause in my agreement with them, but my contract with my consultants strictly forbids him from working at my client w/o my approval. I realize allowing them to pay directly to the consultant I introduced them to goes against the essence of our business model, but how do I say no to my client in these tough times without affecting relations negatively and jeopardizing future business? Not to mention existing business as I have 2 other consultants currently working there as well. Advice?

Bidding on Jobs

Hi All, I was wondering if any of you have had any experience with bidding for staffing contracts? I am new to the Staffing industry and have not heard of this but we are running into some companies that have said they had the contract for their staffing out to bid. I am wondering if there are lists or places to go to find out who is looking for bids in our local area.

We were hit hard in Spokane, WA.as the majority of our business was manufacturing staffing and we lost 80% of that in the last 3 months. Our professional recruiting department has been hit hard as well. In fact many of our major customers are asking us to help find work for the people they are laying off (not a good sign).

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

You can email me directly at gregg.sprague@na.manpower.com

Thank you

IT Recruiting Opportunity

I need a group of strong IT recruiters who can work on commission with a sales team that delivers. My team is growing and I am looking for 3-5 accomplished technical recruiters who can dedicate 20-30 hours per week recruiting against our open opportunities. This would be a virtual position with a weekly conference call and daily updates. The successful candidate would have a deep network in IT, understand the intricacies of staff augmentation and enjoy working in a commission only environment. Our current recruiting staff is on target to make 150k annually. Please let me know if you are interested or know of anyone who is...thanks.

Rate advice

I have been in corporate recruiting for the last 7 years and started in the agency side for 3 years prior to that. Much of my experience has been in healthcare recruiting everything from medical professionals to sales and beyond in that market segment. Does anyone have advice for what rate I should request for a contract that requires a senior level healthcare contractor that will be recruiting everything from clinicians to national sales positions? It could be anywhere from 4-6 month contract and I would be working remotely and from a local office as well. I am in the Phoenix market which is a hotbed for healthcare recruiting at the moment but the contract is based out of Texas.

Any advice would be great guys!!!! Thanks!!!

Contractor vs. Employee

Hello All! I?ve recently been approached for several contract recruiter positions. I?ve never worked as a contractor and I?m weighing the pro?s and con?s. I find that I tire easily of the repetition of everyday recruiting & would like to be paid for the each hire I bring to the table. Besides the obvious pro?s (more money, be your own boss) and con?s (lack of job stability, no benefits) of being a Contract Recruiter, can you think of anything else that may be helpful in making my decision? Any advice you can offer is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

How does one find the best contract recruiting jobs?

I am new to this group and on my third contract recruiting assignment. I have over twenty years of IT and Engineering recruiting experience, all full-cycle, and impeccable references. My first two assignments were posted on Monster by the client. This current gig came about because an agency found my resume posted on the web.

I am wondering how others go about finding the best contract recruiting assignments. The agencies I?ve spoken with have been across the spectrum, ranging from clearly experienced professionals to clearly disinterested paper pushers. However, none of them left me with the impression that they would remember my name or my qualifications for more than a day or two. Responding to postings has netted spotty results at best. Networking online via ERE and several Yahoo! Groups has been the most worthwhile effort lately, and my own contact list has also been helpful. But my current assignment is winding down and I want to find the best assignment possible.

I would like to hear from others how they find assignments. Are there some high-quality agencies that specialize in this area? Are there resources I haven?t tapped? How often do other contract recruiters reach out to their contacts? How do I get some decent feedback about my resume? I can be reached via w.r.barnes@gmail.com by anyone with helpful tips or stories to share.
