SendOuts VS. PC Recruiter follow this discussion

    started 16 months ago by

I need your opinions please. I am considering a change to SendOuts or PC Recruiter, but can't decide between them. Does anyone have first hand experience with these products? If so, what is your opinion? I am only interested in first hand knowledge, not a friend of a friend story, thanks for your help.

I've used Sendouts for several years and one of the things that I like most about the product is the fact that the system bring together to advantages of a web hosted ATS with rich user interface of a desktop application. Because Sendouts interface is fat client (meaning it's an application that you download to your desktop) and not totally web based (meaning you interact with the application via your web browser) you have more more functionality available to the users.

A good example of the difference would be to think about the difference between Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft Webmail. Both applications have access to the same information, all of which sits on your companies Exchange server, but the interface, features and functionality of Outlook is far beyond what you get when you access your information through Webmail via a browser.

We've developed a Web 2.0 recruiting CRM that you should consider. It just came out of beta 3 months ago so it's fairly new on the market and hasn't been heavily marketed, yet. It has built in SMS integration and threading for text messaging, full email integration/parser and threading, bulk email sending, bulk data import and export, custom forms builder, customized workflow, tags/metadata like Flickr, resume storage up to 1.2MM, unified job board/database search, open internet search engine interface with one-click add, search agents, LinkedIN integration, client records, real time dashboard reports, OFCCP compliance, etc. The speed of the app is tremendous since it's asynchronous data transfer removes all full page loads and pop ups, another Web 2.0 feature. It's also very affordable.

Call me at 503-334-0834 or email me at mike@avature.net for a demo. I think it will be worth your time.

I have used CBiz and it worked well. It was easy to use and had a lower cost than other options. For a free option, you could consider Sugar CRM (http://www.sugarcrm.com/crm/).

Also, because I don't have much time for sourcing candidates for our open positions, nor do I like sourcing, my company is using AKA Headhunter (www.akaheadhunter.com) to save us time and money to do the sourcing for us. I highly recommend their service. They source from all of the major job boards, as well as specialty sites, networking, referrals, etc. Their service is only $1,500 per job / month and they have really delivered a lot of quality candidates for our needs. I couldn't ask for anything more.

Overall, AKA Headhunter can source candidates for IT, Finance and Sales positions. If you have any questions, go to their site at www.akaheadhunter.com. You could also contact me to ask me any questions about my experience with their service.

      Best Regards,

I used Sendouts in the past and loved it. It was very user friendly and the non techies even liked it.

Teddy, I've never seen or used SendOuts. However, I have seen and used PC Recruiter. About 90% of my clients use PC Recruiter as it is the preferred CRM for Management Recruiters International.

I've found PCR to be very user friendly, customizable and superb customer support from Main Sequence.

The trick is, you actually have to use it 100% of the time. I'm not being funny but no CRM/ATS is worth the investment unless it is mandatory for 100% of the staff to use it 100% of the time. You don't own any of the data if it's in recruiters' email or folders on their desktop.

I'd be happy to answer specific questions for you offline if you'd like. You can email me directly at amanda.blazo@govig.com or call me at 480-718-6101.

I have used PCR for years and I think it is a great tool. It has added so many new features inclusing email intigration. I find it easy to use and navigate and is easy for others to use as well. Another product to look in to as well though would be Taleo. They have added a lot of new features and may actually be better than PCR based on the demos I have gone through and can be about the same cost.

      Teddy,

I have used Sendouts since it was first introduced and I have been happy with it. Bulk parsing resumes as well as bulk emails to candidates are all part of the system. Price is right as well.

Have you looked into CBiz? www.cbizsoft.com I almost signed up with PC Recruiter a few years ago after researching a ton of ATS systems. Then I stumbled onto CBiz and since it was 1/3 the price of PC Recruiter and offered a free month trial I decided to check it out, and loved it. It actually does more than PC Recruiter and is easier to learn. It integrates w/Outlook and lets you download hundreds of resumes or emails at once and will make a candidate shell for each, importing the resume and attaching the email. You can also bulk mail to candidates, and do anything.

SendOuts is just like subscribing to the Postal Office's flyer inserts program. It de-personalize your communication to your clients and prospect. Although it was sent on your behalf but your name will be signed as a sender and the quality of post cards are not that great. I receive some in the past and they look tacky. Hope that helps.

I have used PC Recruiter and you can call me for feedback anytime. (770-572-6515) I loved the system and the service. It was easy to use, easy to set up and it can be customized to what I needed. It was also effective for the hiring managers. I will explain more when you give me a call.
