    Has anyone noticed that CareerBuilder charges WAY more than either HotJobs or Monster now?  How can they justify that?  Has anyone walked away from CareerBuilder? They are charging me the SAME as a year ago, and I don't understand it.  I am having a difficult time with my Account manager and he is never willing to negotiate.  I don't feel I have a competitive enough offer from them to justify staying, though we get good results.  Any thoughts?

      Hi Aubrey,

      We did walk away from CareerBuilder about a year ago as they would not budge on the pricing.  Now CareerBuilder is trying to win us back and gave us a deal on some postings for a 90 day time frame.

      Hey Aubrey,

      I have heard this from several of my clients. They are still trying to justify their value etc, but the problem is they dont understand the need to be flexible. They will only give discounts for large volume, and they aren't willing to budge in many instances. One of my clients even showed them a contract for the exact same product offering, and they refused to budge, even though it was a $130,000 dollar deal, that Monster was offering from $115,000. This amazed me since I know that CB is HURTING bad, and they have had to make several cutbacks themselves.
