Happy Hour connecting jobseekers with startups
Hey Startups: Strapped for cash? Buy a few drinks and find volunteers!
Hey Berkeley Jobseekers: Frustrated with your job search? Meet cool new startups!
Come "Jobnob" with cool new startups and Cal job seekers at this informal networking happy hour where unemployed people who want to keep their skills sharp are matched up with startups that could use their help.
Cash Conscious Startups*-- are you willing to buy a smart, talented, unemployed person a drink? Come with one or two specific projects that you need accomplished and we'll help you find the perfect person to get the job done.
*Companies do NOT need to be Berkeley alumni.
Berkeley Alum Job Seekers**-- are you willing to volunteer at least 5 hours a week for a startup? Help out a startup and you'll get a leg up on the competition, keep your skills sharp and have some good experience to put on your resume.
**Jobseekers must be Berkeley alums.
Date: Thursday, September 24, 2009 at 4:30pm (Company pitches*** start promptly at 5pm).
Location: Jillian's at the Metreon

***Company Pitches: 20 companies will have 1 minute to present their projects. Each spot costs $40 and can be purchased by clicking the "Pay Now" PayPal button at the bottom of the registration page.
Registration Types - what you get
Company - attendee (FREE)
- Your company and projects posted on Jobnob.com - jobseekers can find you.
- Your company and projects handed out at the event
- A station for your company at the event
- A blue name tag to distinguish you as a company
Company - attendee + 60 second pitch ($40.00)
- Everything the Company - attendee receives, plus
- 60 second elevator pitch delivered to the entire crowd about who you are and who you need
- Limited to 20 companies
Jobseeker - attendee (FREE)
- Your skills and first name posted on Jobnob.com - companies can find you
- Your skills and first name handed out at the event
- An orange name tag to distinguish you as a jobseeker
