    Hello,

    I wanted to reach out to see where others post audit positions. I recently attended a ERE Forum that said that traditional methods are declining. I would appreciate your insight.

      Jim,

      In my opinion, you should devote a majority of your time and resources to after 15th of April (Tax Deadline)if you are wanting to snag someone out of public accounting.

      A small percentage of cpa firms release professionals after April 15th, and some professionals look to move out of public accounting and into private after the deadline.

      A lot of CPA's in public feel obligated to remain with their employers until after April 15th, because it is when they are their busiest, so you could possibly get a higher quality candidate if you wait a couple of weeks. Good luck.

      You may want to start with Industry Associations such as State CPA societies or various IIA(Institute of Internal Auditors) Chapters.
