ATS Implementation and Project Management Discussions « back to group

In the spirit of choosing an Applicant Tracking System, and the potential benefits of using one, BrightMove has released a "Lite" version of it's ATS that is free to use for limited number of users (2). I have authorized this release in an effort to help startup recruiting and staffing agencies get a system in place in order to help them become profitable and successful companies.
We started BrightMove as an internal project for our newborn staffing agency in 2004. Since then, the application has grown into a mature and fully functional ATS. I have walked in the shoes of the recuriters and staffing company owners and know the pain of continuously mounting monthly expenses. Our hope is that BrightMove can help surpass some of the financial hurdles that new companies face. We welcome your feedback.
Thank you, David Webb SVP and Co-Founder BrightMove, Inc. (www.brightmove.com)

Jeri,
Sorry the free version was not helpful to you, although it sounds like the free job distribution engine and company careers portal enabled you to source almost 1000 applicants! Thats great. A lot of other staffing agencies are using the product and have converted over to the Standard edition when running into issues such as yours. We would be happy to help you map out a product choice for the functionality you are looking for. Ask your sales rep to mention this post and Ill see if I can help you out.
Sincerely, David Webb, President

I have used the free version of Brightmove and it is a joke. You cannot search resumes, ONLY applicants by name (I am sorry am I to learn 887 names by heart), oh wait you can see the entire resume database, but you have to search each resume one by one to find that one candidate that you are needing for an employer. You cannot see if anyone applied to a job, so again how is this helping startup recruiting firms like mine? Please elaborate as I am curious to find out.
If you want recruiters to be successful as they are using the free version, then you should offer the advance resume search and allow us to see if anyone has applied to one of our jobs, what is the point to give us a job portal if there is not a way to view submittals. Duh!
