      All:

We actually just do actual mileage reimbursements at the government (IRS) rate for our field sales executives. I am in the IT sales recruiting field. I hope this helps.

In my experience Sales Executives often do get car allowances, some are provided company vehicles and gas cards. Although in some industries the trend is certainly getting away from that.

For allowances, what I have seen ranges from a low of $450/mo to a high of $900/mo, depending on the level within the organization.

Whatever the industry, it shouldn't take long to figure out what the industry standards are, your candidates will tell you what they've been getting elsewhere.

      Good luck.
