Dear Recruiting Community,

I'd like to let you know that we have launched the LinkedIn Group "Social Media Recruiting" and (in parallel) the Network "Social Media Recruiting".

Social Media Recruiting is a wide and (of course!) a popular topic.

The big difference with other groups and networks is that our group and network will be run by a TEAM of experts in the field who are active online, have large following on networks and on twitter, and are able to bring lots of quality content for you.

Here's the list of our leaders as of today:
Irina Shamaeva, Chris Havrilla, Shannon Myers, Jeremy Roberts, Audrey Chernoff, Dorothy Beach, Karla Porter, Molly Sly, Michael Glenn, Jessica Meher, Jan Kirchner, and Alexander Fedossov. I know that you will recognize many names in this list!

I think many existing groups and blog posts address only one social network, or compare networks. However, for most productivity, and to be competitive, today's recruiter needs to use all the major social networks and social media in general; moreover, there are clever ways to combine their usage for best results.

The reason we do both a LI group and a Ning network is that some members will prefer to stay within LinkedIn and some, perhaps more advanced and interested members will join the network. (This has been the case with my Boolean Strings group and the Boolean Strings network).
