I am looking for a tool to help manage our passive candidate prospects. Currently have an ATS but am finding that we're creating a bunch of confusion between active vs. passive candidates as well as duplicate records when they become an "applicant". I don't want to not track sourced candidates but my simple excel spreadsheet is not cutting it as the numbers grow and more people are involved in using it. Any recommendations???

Hey Mendy,
I recommend you at least give iCIMS a look. They have all of those functionalities, including ATS, CRM, sourcing passive and active candidates. They also seamlessly integrate with other vendors, so if you already have an ATS, you don't have to do away with it. You can check it out here:

Hi Mendy
There are a number of recruiting-specific CRM tools out there these days. I remember seeing a preview of Avature at last Fall's ERE Expo and it looked like a great tool. I've heard some others mention Avature as a tool worth looking at as well. Also, when I last saw VirtualEdge Pilot, it also had some great features. Of course, price will likely be a big factor, but those might be two worth looking into.
Good luck!

Mendy,
Our Pointwing recruiting software helps you manage passive candidates by enabling you to code them as a "contact" until you are ready to move them into the "applicant" or "employee" category.
Check it out at http://www.pointwing.com

Phil,
Hello and thank you for contact. We just went live with a new ATS and won't be changing....Does Pointwing offer purchase of just the contact module?

Mendy, you have a couple of options. One would be to combine the two systems on a new platform. Or you could use to systems, one is a crm and one is an ats.

Thanks Jason,
We just went live with Taleo last week so are not looking to get a new ATS. However, it's looking like Taleo will not be able to track passive candidates without making it confusing with duplicate records when they actually apply. Have you heard about an option in Taleo to have a CRM and ATS functionality?

Hi Mendy - at Jobs2Web we work with hundreds of leading companies that use a multitude of CRM applications that integrate with both our platform and existing ATS systems simultaneously. In addition to the ones listed here we see many companies using Salesforce.com as well as Sourcepoint. The trick is how deep you want to go in CRM. If you are looking for just the automated job marketing and basic recruiter assignments and tracking you have an even bigger universe (including our own standard offering). If you are looking for a complete CRM that focuses more on managing and tracking day to day recruiter activity the ones I mentioned seem most popular. iCims has a nice service as well as mentioned in here. Good luck, my info is brett.keirstead@jobs2web.com if you have more questions.

Hi Mendy, we offer a very solid recruiter based contact management system, which can work seamlessly with your Taleo implementation. Very easy to launch targeted email campaigns to your contacts right from within Taleo.
You can learn more at http://www.smashfly.com to get an overview of our solution, but i'd be happy to provide a demo to showcase our CRM module specifically.
