School Supplies follow this blog post

I am the first to admit - I HATE shopping, especially for the everyday things i.e.: paper towels, notepads, pens, etc.  Some how they should just appear.  Usually, when I do buy these things, I buy quite a bit as to not have to do it again anytime soon.

I guess this would be my bi-annual trip to the office supply store and what to my amazement should appear?  School Supplies at ROCK BOTTOM prices.  It's never occurred to me to buy my office supplies during school supply sale.  (Probably because I've been avoiding the chaos.  Plus my kids' school has a pre-order form every year, and the school supplies are waiting for them on the first day of school).  Sorry for getting off track.

The point being, if you need office supplies, now is the time to go.  Note pads, that I can't live with out, were $.33 each - yes, that's right, 33 CENTS each.  While everyone is watching all their pennies these days, not a bad place to start.

While you are there, throw a few extra supplies in for the kids who need help.  It will only cost you a dollar or two.  Not only are you helping yourself, but others.

Your best bet - wait until your state has a 'tax amnesty day' (or weekend) to buy supplies.  My best choice for stores to purchase supplies from - TARGET!  WalMart and K-Mart and office supply stores will have school supplies on sale for close enough prices to the Target, but Target brings that stuff in via 18-wheeler trucks and I have purchased all my three kids' school needs for under $100 each year - and we still have enough left over for the next school year.  If you go on a 'tax amnesty day' then you can save another 5-10 bucks easily (depending upon your state sales tax).
