OFCCP Final Rule on Job Postings Delivered August 8 follow this blog post

Allen Smith, J.D., SHRM?s manager of workplace law content, wrote an article, (OFCCP Final Rule Will Change How Contractors Post Job Listings- requires membership) recently analyzing the OFFCP's final ruling concerning the elimination of AJB.

The final rule however is not rocket science and reflects what I've been yelling about for some time.

To quote Allen directly, "Under the final rule, covered federal contractors can satisfy their job listing requirement by posting with the appropriate state workplace agency job banks or local employment service delivery system."

Duh.

To all those vendors waiting to see if they were going to have to do some actual hard work configuing their distribution tools to the requirements of the 2000 employment offices spread around the US, the answer is YES.

Oh, and the expectation is that firms will be able to comply by September 7, 2007. Obviously that will be done manually... unless someone can demonstrate they got all 2000 offices hooked up.
