Do you Spock? follow this blog post

Spock is a new people specific search engine. It is early days but they have already indexed over one hundred million people and are adding millions every day. They say that they are building the broadest and deepest people specific search engine. One of the interesting features is that they allow you to add your contacts from AOL, Yahoo! Mail, Plaxo, Gmail, LinkedIn, Hotmail, Outlook Express, and Outlook. Everything doesn't work yet. I have not been able to upload from LinkedIn but there are lots of LinkedIn people in Spock.

Spock is currently an invitation-only beta service. You can request an invitation but who knows how long that will take? I happen to have 3 invitations to give out at no charge. I'll send them to the first three people who request them as comments on this blog.

And, by the way, if you want to send me an Invite from LinkedIn I will accept. I have a pretty big network that could advantage you.

    Hi Cor,

I sent your invitation to Spock yesterday. Please check it out and add your thoughts here as a comment.

You asked about pipl.com. I had never used the site but your question prompted me to check it out. I wasn?t overly impressed. Quite a few of the results were from sites that required payment. I suspect that Spock will be vastly superior once it rolls out fully.

    Thanks,

    Simon

    Hi Simon,

Can you help me with an invitation for Spock? I like to write about this service for the dutch hrm-site www.personeelslog.nl.

Do you think that Spock is better than pipl.com ?

    Thanks in advance.
