We looked at entry-level jobs on the AfterCollege network as well as jobs from 75+ newspapers to find cities with the most employers. Who’s Applying to Sales Jobs?
Sales jobs are some of the few opportunities that remain in abundance in the current economy. We looked at job applicant data for the past 30 days to see what types of candidates were applying to sales jobs and here is what we found.
As expected, business-related majors account for the largest chunk of applicants to sales jobs, which include sales, business development, and account executive roles. Next in line are Humanities and Liberal Arts majors, followed by IT and Computer Science-related majors. AfterCollege Users Smarter than Overall College Population?
A high GPA does not necessarily mean you're smarter, but it is one of the few indicators of academic ability and potentially an indicator of intelligence. Some employers put a lot of emphasis on GPA, while others don't. Those who don't put emphasis on GPA often mention that outside factors could negatively affect GPA. For example, a student may need to have a full-time job while in college to pay for school, and a heavy workload can impact grades.
