Are You Ready?  What is that question all about?

If you are a contract (or some say temporary) employee engaged through an agency or a business who uses contract (or temporary) people in Ontario, then the questions apply to you.

Effective this Friday, November 6th 2009, Bill 139 comes into effect that further enhances the Employment Standards Act and lays out very specific rules and conditions to align contract (or temporary) people with those engaged full-time/permanent by companies.  

Questions all should ask, of the company or agency is:  What have you done to ensure compliance with Bill 139? and ask them to show you the documentation to prove it.  Many are saying they have, but unable to prove it.  Remember, people are the life blood of a business, look after your people and ensure compliance.
