There is a paradigm shift in which recruitment is happening these days. Not only because of the pressing numbers and time constraint to achieve the same, but also because of the need of the hour.
Conventionally, Recruitment has always been a part of HR departement. One job of an HR executive was to recruit and select and then venture in people policies. The scene changed when separate recruitmen teams were formed. But they still worked in tandem with the HR people.
Today the picture is morphing in a totally new shade. Recruitment is officialy becoming a part of internal operations, or what might be called as "Delivery" The reason for the same being to get the know-how of the technical and functional aspects of the job. The delivery team works very closely describing the job aspects to the recruitment team to ensure getting right people on board.
So there are internal customers (Delivery) and external customers (candidates) for the recruiters. What an awesome field we are into!
