Our company?s support for the military is strong and goes back more than 90 years. Heroes at Home is a program we created last year with Rebuilding Together. Since its inception, associates and customers have helped to raise more than $5 million and renovate or rebuild over 250 homes.
This holiday season, we expanded this effort by inviting Americans to show their support of military families through the Sears Heroes at Home Wish Registry. This program is a meaningful way for our associates, vendors and customers to make the holidays brighter for the families of active service men and women who are away serving our country. Our contributions of money will be equally distributed in the form of Sears gift cards to the over 30,000 families who have registered for the program. For more information about the Wish Registry please watch our latest video messages at www.HeroDollar.com and www.HeroesHands.com.
We need your help to meet our goal of collecting more than $16 million for these military families. During these financially challenging times your contribution of any amount will be especially meaningful. As a result of contributions we have received thus far, we have already sent each family a $100 gift card. In addition, the company has sent each family a $100 Holiday Trim Reward Card to decorate their homes. Just imagine, if each Sears Holdings associate gave only $10, we would be able to provide each family with another $100 gift card!*
I am also asking you to help by enlisting the support of everyone you know. Here?s how:
§ Forward this e-mail to your family and friends and ask them to watch our latest Wish Registry videos (HeroDollar.com and HeroesHands.com), make a donation and forward this e-mail to everyone they know.
§ If you have a page on MySpace, Facebook or Blogs you can also encourage your online friends to donate ? just post a Wish Registry Badge of Support to your page, as well as, links to the above-mentioned videos.
Thank you for your support and efforts to promote this worthy cause. Together, we can make the holidays truly happy for these military families.
