I often wonder how the general public views what we do as recruiters. A quick look around the Internet revealed some pretty interesting insights.
The Good
Some people see us as a reliable resource to ensure they're being properly supported and rewarded.
The Bad
We're vultures. At least, until the candidate really, really wants out.
The Indifferent
Some people think they can put us out of business with a little web site. Like, whatever.
The Ugly
I learned that some people think the best recruiters are actually best at manipulating others.
I've long maintained that HR needs some new PR. And, obviously, good PR starts with practices that are ethical, non-agressive, and positive. What will it take to get people talking about the excellent placements and happy companies we've all helped to build?
