I've had the new beta version of the LinkedIn toolbar 2.0 for about a week now and I have to say the new features are quite good. The 2 big additions to the new toolbar are the LinkedIn Dashboard and the
box.
The
Box:
The new Info Box provides a quick snapshot of data based on the LinkedIn profile of the individuals who email you. You'll note in the clip below that in addition to information about the individual you also have the ability to invite that person into your LinkedIn network or "keep-in-touch" with them.

If you select the invite link you jump straight to an email template with canned and personal emails that you can send and invite that person into your LinkedIn network. If you select the "keep-in-touch" link you can set up
a dashboard reminder to check in with that person if you have not exchanged emails with them in the last 60 days.
I think this is the best feature in the new toolbar. Although, I'd like to see the folks at LinkedIn build on this feature to let users customize the period of time from the 60 day default. Better yet, I'd like to be able to schedule the amount of time between reminders for different people if I want to.
The Dashboard:
The dashboard feature looks very much like the Outlook Today summary that most people see when they first log onto Outlook. Like the Outlook Today page, the LinkedIn Dashboard provides a summary of information and activities that help busy recruiters keep up with all the relationships that travel through their inbox.
Pretty cool stuff LinkedIn team.

My suggestion for LinkedIn toolbar 3.0 is to show the relationship chain from people I don't have a direct connection with to the people I do. That way when I get an email from someone that happens to be friends with my boss I can be sure and respond to their email ASAP. ;-)
Any other suggestions?
