Networking Groups - Social Networks - Local Business Groups - what have worked for you?

I have delved into the world of face-to-face Social Business Networking the last three months and have had a blast meeting new people and selling my company and it's services in a non-threatening manner. 

What I have also encountered is a great variety of types of Social Business Networks, and the set-ups, fees, charges, obligations, requirements, etc. 

In my geographic area, I've encountered some of the following Business or Entrepreneurial Groups that are open to new members below. Many of these groups I have heard about via word-of-mouth, or via MeetUp.com (awesome source!), and received invitations via E-vite when the sponsors have my e-mail address. 

1) (757) SpeedNetworking - now called SpeedNetIx - meets every Mon, reasonable membership fee(s) 
2) BNI - international base, but multiple local chapters, very expensive fees and applications to join, plus requirements 
3) Networking 101 - 
4) Christian Business Builders - small growing group 
5) Commonwealth Professionals 
6) Hampton Roads Social Media Network 
7) etc. 

Also: 
General Socials that are sponsored by several of the Networking Groups at several restaurants around town (Virginia Beach, Chesapeake, Norfolk, VA) 

MY QUESTION(s): 

1) What is your favorite Business Networking Group and is it national or local? 
2) Is your group open to new members, and if so, what/who/where can interested business networkers find more information? (Please provide a URL or e-mail address) 
3) What do you like about the Business Networking Group - costs, requirements, location? 
4) What do you dislike about the Business Networking Group - other members, too many in your business arena, lousy meeting times, etc.? 
5) Where do you find Business Networking Groups? (MeetUp.com, E-vite.com, PartnerUp.com, etc. - suggest URL's).
